Parking Restrictions within the pedestrian zone in operation within the High Street area in Dunfermline

I have provided a short statement below relating to restrictions on the High Street, Dunfermline.

"Access and one way restrictions are in place on Pilmuir Street from Queen Anne Street to High Street, Dunfermline High Street and Guildhall Street. No vehicle is permitted to access any of these roads at any time on any day unless they meet the requirements for the exceptions. Entry is only possible via Queen Ann Street into High Street, exiting either west or east along High Street or down Guildhall Street.

Any commercial vehicle servicing a property, or vehicle legitimately displaying a blue badge is permitted to access this area from Queen Anne Street during the following times;

  • Monday to Saturday from Midnight until Noon

  • Monday to Saturday from 3 pm until Midnight

  • Sunday all day

Please note that this means there should be NO vehicles present within the High Street area Monday to Saturday between Noon and 3 pm. Any vehicle which enters the High Street before noon, but is still there during the restricted times can be issued with a fixed penalty notice.

Vehicles entering the High Street area should only park in areas marked by white blocks. These are available on;

  • Pilmuir Street on the right hand side as you drive in

  • Guildhall Street on the right hand side

  • High Street on the north side outside McDonalds

  • High Street on the north side opposite Boots.

Disabled parking is also available within the public car parks around the City Centre and within the Kingsgate Multi-storey car park. In addition to this there is a shop mobility service available within Dunfermline accessed within the Kingsgate. Further information is available on www.fifedirect.org.uk.
"

I have also attached a plan which indicated the available parking for blue badge holders within Dunfermline, car parks with disabled bays and also an indication of the High Street restrictions along with the one way sections. To view plan "Click Here"

If any members have any queries about where they can park they can contact me direct and I will hopefully be able to offer further advice.

Kind regards
